The type of personal information we collect 

The SERV Sussex website currently collects personal data only on the “Contact Us” page. SERV Sussex use the Google re-Captcha tool to help prevent abuse of the contact form and this has some associated cookies. Should you not wish to accept the cookies please ensure you have Declined cookies within our “Cookie policy” tool at the bottom of the display.

Any data collected by the Contact Us page is passed via email to volunteers in order to deal with your enquiry. No personal data from this form is stored on this web server.

 

How we get the personal information and why we have it

The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • You wish to volunteer for us. We, therefore, need to collect personal data to allow us to keep in touch and ensure your have the required training / skills / authorisations to be an effective volunteer.

  • To allow us to contact you with information you have requested.  

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information is that you have freely consented to pass the information on the enquiry form and we have a legitimate interest in processing it.

 

How we store your personal information 

Any information you supply via our contact form is securely stored within the charity’s IT platform. In processing your enquiry your data is only passed to those involved in dealing that enquiry.
